Amy Tedesco

Caseworker C - Permanency Unit

Jefferson County Division of Children, Youth and Families

Jefferson County, Colorado

Amy has been our daughter’s adoption caseworker since 2005. Through our unique and highly complex (legal, cultural, and otherwise) adoption journey, Amy has demonstrated compassion, dedication, cultural sensitivity, a sense of humor, and a sincere commitment to the well-being of our daughter and our family. She has been a champion for our daughter’s permanency and has even joined us to cheer on our daughter at one of her tee-ball games! We hope to collaborate with Amy again soon to adopt a second child – we quite simply can’t imagine working with anyone else!

Valton, Diamond, and Christine Landrum

Adoptive family

Golden, Colorado

“I have been a caseworker with the Jefferson County Division of Children, Youth and Families for almost nine years, all of this time spent working with children in need of adoptive families. I went into this field because I love to work with people. I have been rewarded with being able to meet all of the wonderful, resilient children I have worked with and being able to meet the caring families that open their hearts and homes to them. Working with adoptive families and children has been what has kept me working in this sometime stressful field of work.

“I had the pleasure of working with the Landrum family for several years assisting them with the adoption of the daughter from the foster care system. The family was very knowledgeable in this child's culture and went above and beyond to help their little girl in different ways to explore her culture and keep it active in her life. The Landrum family strove to keep important connections active in their daughter's life. The Landrum's were the most warm, patient, and friendly family that I have ever worked with. Their utmost concern was always the best interest of the daughter. The case took an unexpected turn at a court hearing and the family never once showed any hesitation in placing their trust in me as their caseworker and in the court system to make the correct decisions. I could not have asked for a better adoptive family for any of my children and I would be pleased and honored if I receive the chance to work with them again in the future.” - Amy Tedesco
