About Leilani
Leilani is an outgoing young lady who will proudly tell you her name means "Heavenly Flower!" She works hard in school, currently on the A/B honor roll and her teachers say she's always trying to help other students who don't understand the material. She loves being creative and even made her very own Harley Quinn Halloween costume! Music is important to Leilani and you can most often find her singing or dancing along to her favorite tunes. Her preferences are eclectic, ranging from heavy metal to musicals like Hairspray and Grease. Being active is a big part of her life, she plays sports, participates in clubs, anything to get her out and engaged. When it's time to relax, she enjoys drawing or watching movies. Like with music, her taste in movies varies widely from scary movies to movies about superheroes. Her future plans include becoming a detective like her hero Olivia Benson from Law & Order because she "always gets to the bottom of things!"
Leilani would do well in either a one-parent or two-parent home but she needs at least one of the parents to be female. She would prefer no other children in the home, but if there are other kids, she should be the youngest. She'll tell you she loves attention. She would thrive in a home that provides safety, love, and can see her full potential. She loves cats and while she doesn't enjoy dogs that much, she is open to a home that comes with one. She hopes for a family that appreciates and participates in her interests and activities. Leilani recently discovered a love of gardening so would really like a home that comes with a garden already, or space for one later. She has fun on walks getting to talk to people so parents who are willing to join her are ideal. Leilani needs structure, routine, and most importantly predictability. Interested families should understand the impact trauma can have on children.
